“Accept Price Move(s)” – This is you, the Customer, accepting that Orders entered on Careers Market and MatchDay Market may be filled at a price better than the Limit Price you enter. If you are Bidding Shares, this means that your Fill Price may be lower than your Limit Price. If you are Offering Shares, this means that your Fill Price may be higher than your Limit Price.
“Account” - a SportStack account held by a Customer.
“Adjusted Mid Price”/“AMP” – This is the default Price that is used to measure Sportfolio Value. It is the greater of the Mid Price and 90% of the current Best Offer. For example, if the Best Bid is £5.00, and the Best Offer is £6.00, the Adjusted Mid Price would be the greatest of the Mid Price (£5.50), or 90% of the Best Offer (£5.40). The Adjusted Mid Price would therefore be £5.50 and your Sportfolio Valuation would be calculated on this.
“API Customers” – This means Customers to whom SportStack agrees to provide access to the Plarform via an application programming interface.
“Attributes” – The defined actions of a Player that determine their Final Points Score according to the Scoring Table.
“Auction” – The process undertaken by SportStack to Issue Shares of a Player on Careers Market.
“Best Bid” - The highest Unmatched Bid by a Customer.
“Best Offer” - The lowest Unmatched Offer by a Customer.
“Bet” – the meaning of this is dependent on the relevant Product:
- MatchDay Markets: “Bet” shall mean the act of purchasing a Share;
- SuperStack: “Bet” shall mean when a Customer places a bet on which Player will achieve the highest Final Points Score in a match(es);
- Career Markets: “Bet” shall mean the act of purchasing a Share.
“Bid”/ ”Bidding” – The act of expressing an interest to buy Shares in a Player. This can either be done in the Auction or in market.
“Bidding Window” - The Bidding Window relates to the period of time at which SportStack will accept Bids in an Auction.
“Bundesliga” – The top professional football division of the German football league system.
“Cancelled”/”Cancel”/”Cancellation” – This relates to an Order and is the action of a Customer, or of SportStack, to remove either a Bid or Offer.
“Career Performance” – The accumulation of Dividends that a Player earns across all matches, in eligible Competitions and Leagues, over their professional career. Players are subject to removal based on Clause 8 of Product Specific Betting Rules – Career Markets.
“Cash Out” – The act of selling Shares you own in a Player in order to close your Bet early.
“Champions League Group Stage” – The stage of the UEFA Champions League where 32 teams remain in the competition.
“Charges” – means those charges detailed at clause 3.2 of the Terms and Conditions.
“Collection End” – The time at which OPTA conclude their data collection after a match. This is usually within 10 or 15 minutes of the final whistle.
“Competitions and Leagues” – These relate to the competitions and leagues that SportStack pay out Dividends on. Refer to the Dividend Table for details.
“Commission” – The amount of commission charged by Sport Stack when a Share is bought or sold.
“Crossing” – Where the Best Bid exceeds the Best Offer for a Player, but where the Orders do not result in Matched or Partially-Matched Orders. This could happen in fast market conditions, but may also be a false-positive on the user interface, even though the underlying Bids and Offers are in fact not crossed.
"Current Value" – is a term applicable to Career Markets and means the Price of a Share multiplied by the AMP of such Shares that you hold.
“Customer” – A holder of a SportStack Account.
“Depth of Book” – This gives an indication of the amount of Bidding or Offering interest there is in a market. Customers can opt-in to see this information 3 Price Increment layers out. A “+” indicates that an amount of Shares in excess of the proceeding number is available for purchase or sale e.g. 100+ = “more than 100 Shares are available at this Price”
“Dividend” – The amount of money that a Customer who owns a Share in a Player is eligible to receive after a qualifying match. The exact Dividend due is based on the Dividend Table and accompanying Promotion Dividend if they exist.
“Dividend Table” – The corresponding table that takes the Final Points Score accumulated based on the Scoring Table, and converts it into the Dividend due to each owner of that Share.
“Eligible Competitions and Leagues” – those competitions and leagues listed at 7.6 of the Career Market terms.
“English Premier League” – The top level of the English football league system.
“Europa League Group Stage onwards” - The stage of the UEFA Europa League where 48 teams remain in the competition.
“European Championship excluding qualifiers” – The stage of the UEFA European Championship where 24 teams remain in the competition, also known the Final Tournament. For clarity, qualifying matches are excluded.
“Event(s)” – the meaning of this is dependent on the relevant Product:
- MatchDay Markets: “Event” shall mean a single specified football match;
- SuperStack: “Event” shall mean a single football match or other specified series of matches in SuperStack (e.g. Player with highest Final Point Score over the course of one specific weekend);
- Career Markets: “Events” shall mean the series of matches that you are taking a view on when Betting on a Players’ Career Performance. The exact list of matches may be unknown from the outset, but the term Events encompasses all those matches that the Player does ultimately feature in over their career/ until they are Removed.
“Expiry”/“Expire(s)” – Relates to the date and time at which Shares of a specific Player become ineligible to earn further Dividends. This is governed by the removal of Players rules at section 8 of the Career Markets Product Specific Betting Rules.
“Fill Price” – This is the average Price that your Order is filled at. It may better than your Order’s Limit Price as a result of Accepting Price Moves.
"Final Points Score" - The number of points allocated to a Player based on their performance in a match, by reference to the Scoring Table.
“Guide Price Limits” – This is given as two values, and marks the boundaries that SportStack will accept Bids at or between during an Auction e.g. “£3.50-£4.00” signals that SportStack will accept Bids at accepted Price Increments during the Auction within the £3.50 to £4.00 range, inclusive.
“High Scoring Attributes” – These are defined as specific group of Attributes in the Scoring Table - Starting 11, Sub more than 60’, Sub less than 60’, Goals, Own Goals, Assists, Yellow Cards, Second Yellow Cards, and Straight Red Cards.
“Issuing Shares/Share Issue/ Issue” –This refers to the process of SportStack accepting Career Market Bets, where a Customer has made a Bid.
“La Liga” - The top professional football division of the Spanish football league system
“Launchpad Auction” – The process undertaken by SportStack to Issue Shares of a Player on Careers Market.
“Ligue 1” - The top professional football division of the French football league system.
“Limit Price” – This is the Price that you enter when Bidding in an Auction, or Bidding in the Market, or Offering in the Market. It is the highest Price you are willing to buy a Share at, or lowest Price you are willing to sell a Share.
“Loss” – Customer will make a loss on a Share if the sum of all Dividends received by a Customer whilst owning the Share, plus any value at which they are able to successfully Cash Out, does not exceed the initial Stake paid for the Share. This is only applicable to Career Markets.
“Matched” – This relates to the part of an Order that has successfully been placed and has also found corresponding interest in the market. An Order could be classified as Matched as a result of SportStack Offering Shares to you in an Auction, another Customer or SportStack Offering Shares that you are Bidding in the market, or another Customer or SportStack Bidding Shares that you are Offering in the market.
“Mid Price” – means the price midway between the Best Bid and Best Offer.
“Offer”/“Offering” – The act of a person expressing an interest to sell Shares, which can include a Customer expressing an interest to sell Shares or SportStack Issuing Shares.
“Order” – The term covers both Bids or Offers. If you are “entering an Order”, it could be either a Bid or an Offer – it is a expressing an interest to buy or sell.
“Partial-Shares” – The concept of Customers being able to buy and sell a decimal number of Shares. Partial-Shares would be eligible for Partial-Dividends in the same proportion as the fraction of Shares owned.
“Partially-Matched” – This relates to an Order that has both Matched and Unmatched components.
“Payout” – the amount of money that you the Customer are paid out after each match based on the number of Shares you own in a particular Player, and the Dividend each Share is due.
“Platform” – Any website and/or app that SportStack provide Customers to Bet on Players.
“Player” – A sports person on which SportStack offer Bets.
“Playing-Position” – The on-pitch playing position of a Player as originally defined by OPTA, but subsequently considered for change annually by SportStack at its discretion.
“Price Increment” – The permissible price levels that you are able to place an Order at. This works similarly to e-commerce auction increments, where the higher the Price, the larger the Price Increment you can place orders in. This is in place to protect the integrity of the Platform.
“Price” – The amount, in British pounds and pence, that a Customer is willing to buy or sell Shares at.
“Product Specific Betting Rules” – means:
- Matchday Market rules, which can be accessed here;
- SuperStack rules, which can be accessed here;
- Career Market rules, which can be accessed here.
“Product” – Refers to the different betting products that SportStack make available.
“Profit” – A Customer can earn a Profit on a Share if the sum of all Dividends received whilst owning a Share, plus any Price at which they are able to successfully sell a Share, exceeds the initial Stake paid for a Share. This is only applicable to Career Markets.
“Promotional Dividends” – Refers to Dividends that are temporary, and introduced for a defined period of time after, which they cease to exist.
“Restricted Account” – An Account that has one or more regular features suspended or permanently disabled as a result of either a Customer’s direct action or SportStack initiated action.
“Removed” – The action of removing Shares of a specific Player from the Platform in accordance with section 8 of the Career Markets Product Specific Betting Rules.
“Scoring Table” – A table identifying the Attributes that measure Player performance and the accompanying points value of each instance.
“Serie A” - The top professional football division of the Italian football league system.
“Share Limit” – The Share Limit is defined as the cumulative maximum number of Shares a single Customer can express an interest to purchase during an Auction or any other matters as expressly referred to in Product Specific Betting Rules.
“Share” – A nominal term to describe a Bet on a Player’s performance.
“Side of Bet” – The Bid or the Offer side. If you are on the Bid side, you are wanting to buy/place a Bet. If you are on the Offer side, you are wanting to Cash Out of your Bet.
“Sportfolio” – the area of the Platform where you can monitor all aspects of your Bets and Orders.
“Sportfolio Overview” – A high level overview where Customers can see the current state of their Bets, on a Player basis and at headline level.
“Sportfolio Value/Sportfolio Valuation” – The Current Value of Shares that you hold. It is important to consider the Dividends earned in addition to Current Value to derive the Total Value of your Sportfolio.
“Stake” – The amount that you, the Customer, risks on a specific Bet.
“Starting 11” – all Starting 11 Players of a team in a specific match.
“Starting 11 Player” – a football player that starts a football match for a team.
“Terms and Conditions” – the general SportStack terms and conditions.
“Third-Party Data Provider” – An independent company who provides SportStack with the on-field data attributes.
“Tiers” – SportStack create Tiers of Competitions and Leagues to simplify the process for Customers understanding the Dividend Payout that a Player can earn. These Tiers can be seen in the Dividend Table.
“Top Player Bonus Dividend” – A Dividend payable in relation to the Starting 11 Player with the highest point score (calculated in accordance with the Scoring Table) at the end of a match in an Eligible Competition. The Top Player Bonus Dividend will be split in the case of two or more Players with the joint highest point score.
“Total Value” has the meaning as at 5.4 of the Career Markets Product Specific Betting Rules.
“Unmatched” – This relates to the part of an Order that has been successfully placed, but has not found offsetting interest in the market.
“World Cup excluding qualifiers” – The stage of the FIFA World Cup where 32 teams remain in the competition, also known as the Final Tournament. This Final Tournament is scheduled to be expanded to include 48 teams in 2026 and all such matches would be eligible for Dividends.
