SportStack is commitment to responsible gambling. The below guide is here to help you identify your own, or a close-friend/family-members gambling problem. It is not meant as an exhaustive list and we encourage you to err on the side of caution when deciding whether to seek advice or help.

- Someone who regularly avoids other social events just so they don’t miss a gambling opportunity

- Somebody who puts gambling at or close to the top of their priority list week in week out

- A gambler inflates their wins and continually brushes off losses as bad luck\n\n- Somebody who is unwilling or fears checking their lifetime net deposit/withdrawals

- Somebody who is spending an increasing amount of time on betting websites/apps/at venues

- A bettor who chases their losses by betting larger and larger amounts in hope of breaking even

- A person who bets their non-disposable income recreationally and subsequently cannot pay their every day bills

- Someone who conceals their betting habits from spouse or close friends

- Someone who continually lies about, understates, or brushes off their losses

3. What can we do about it?

There are a variety of ways with which we can try and deal with a gambling problem. In conjunction with making contact with a support group above, SportStack suggest you consider the actions detailed below.

3a) Implementing deposit limits

These can be set on a daily weekly or monthly basis. They are the tailored by contacting us at support@sportstack.com or on your account page and can be lowered at any time. Lowering your limit intra-day/week/month may result in immediate suspension if you have already reached that limit. Revisions higher are subject to a week-long cooling off period prior to implementation.

Lowering deposit limits takes effect instantly.

Increasing deposit limits takes effect in 7 days.

3b) Taking a time out from gambling

You can take a short break from gambling for a day, week, month, 6 week period. During this period you will be unable to bet on your SportStack account. This is irreversible and you will only be allowed to bet again once your break has expired.

Imposing a timeouts takes effect instantly.

Timeouts are irreversible and last until your timeout ends.

3c) Self-exclusion

This will exclude you from betting on your account for a minimum of 6 months. We can also accommodate 1, 2, and 5 year exclusions. Should you wish to block yourself for any of these times you can do so on your accounts page, or for longer periods please email us at support@sportstack.com . Also consider registering with Gamstop – note Gamstop will block you from all betting sites signed up to the scheme, not just SportStack.

SportStack suggest that if you would like to self-exclude for longer than 5 years or permanently that you seek help detailed in 1.2.

If looking to self-exclude for a long time, you should also consider installing free/paid for software that blocks access to gambling websites as well as gambling-blocking apps. An independent evaluation of you options can be found here (https://about.gambleaware.org/media/1813/blocking-software-evaluation-findings-report.pdf)

We ask you to consider making sure the password for that blocker app/software is set by someone else close to you, who is not considered a problem gambler themselves.

In order to remove as many temptations as possible, unfollow all gambling/gaming social media accounts.

Self-exclusion takes effect instantly.

Self-exclusions are irreversible and last until your self-exclusion period ends.
